Pyinya Sanyae is now in its 15th year of forming young people to become both competent and caring teachers who will serve the children in Myanmar. To date, over 200 teachers have attended the training courses and gone on to serve in various dioceses throughout the country.

Thankfully, with the help of modern technology, classes at PS have been conducted on-line since the start of the Covid-19 pandemic. We hope that more in-person classes can resume soon.

In the recent years, PS has adapted its courses to prepare teachers to teach mainstream curriculum in both private and government schools using innovative child-centred pedagogy. The call continues to evolve, and with one ear tuning in to the changing realities of the country and the other ear against the heart of God, PS hopes to be ever faithful in her response, always from the perspective of the most vulnerable and disadvantaged children and youth.
